Pornography is not child’s play.
It quickly becomes an obsession just as powerful as any drug addiction and similar to narcotic drugs, it grips a person in chains that are nearly impossible to break.
And similar to drug habits, it leads people down a path of diminishing returns.
It may start with “just a little look” but before long, that’s not enough. A picture isn’t enough to satisfy the perverted appetite and a person will soon need movies, erotica, phone-sex, etc.
This type of sex addict will seek more intense ways of satisfying his lust but as is the case with all counterfeits, there is never complete satisfaction. He will always need a greater “rush” but it will always be harder to come by.
If the habit is not discovered by others, a man can deceive himself into believing it’s okay because nobody else is being hurt by it.
But the truth is, even if he takes his secret to the grave, it is slowly destroying his soul.
His life will be consumed with trying to fulfill his need for sexual satisfaction and he will be unable to find happiness or contentment in other areas of his life. He may even get involved in other sexual relationships outside of marriage that are immoral at best, and deadly at worst.
Don’t stick your head in the sand and hope such a problem will fix itself. Take action and find help for the man whose soul is slowly being poisoned to death by pornography.
