The effects of pornography on a marriage are likely to cause you many worries, and they all seem valid at first glance.
Worry is like anger; a very controlling emotion. It can take on a life of its own and take over your ability to reason.
What are you worrying about today?
-
Are you afraid that pornography will ultimately destroy your husband, your marriage and your life?
-
Are you worried that he will never repent?
-
Have you prayed and waited, but nothing ever seems to change?
-
Do you think God has forgotten about you?
Whatever it is, I bet your peace and joy are being sucked out of you at breakneck speed.
But the child of God has no reason to worry because your Father in heaven is God Most High.
He is the God who sees, the God who redeems, the God who heals, the God who provides, and the God of all peace.
If you have no peace today, it’s not because God cannot provide it, or because He won’t. Look inside yourself and acknowledge that you can not manufacture peace for yourself or for anyone else.
We are told not to worry; it’s a command that promises positive results to those who obey it.
Why?
Because when you are worried your focus is on you, not on God, and you can do nothing in and of yourself to solve your problems.
If I only have myself to count on in the day of trouble, I SHOULD be worried!
But if God Almighty is for me and has promised to meet all my needs, I should be focusing on Him, thanking Him and obeying Him.
Tell me what you’re worried about in the comments below. Then turn those worries over to God and be at peace.
